is a rare exception to 
impassioned failure

everybody has 
a game plan until he gets 
drop-kicked in the face

that which blocks my path
is often just a signpost
to a better path

a goal not written
is a null accomplishment
a dream unfulfilled

my admiration
is for those who try boldly
even though they fail

in the big fishbowl
even the smallest gaffe is
subject to review

the trail to failure
is efficiently blazed by
the footprints of fools

success is moving
from one failure to the next
with great confidence

a heart grown bitter
is a burden to itself
love has no place there

do the best you can
and know sometimes your best is
just irrelevant
